Our Philosophy

We believe great design should do more than look beautiful—it should change the way we feel, connect, and live.

Hillsborough Design House was born from a simple conviction: beauty belongs in everyday life. Rooted in our Italian, Mediterranean, Lebanese, and Venezuelan heritage, we were raised to understand that home is more than a place, it is where family gathers, stories are shared, traditions are carried forward, and ordinary moments become the ones we remember.

That understanding shapes everything we do. Through interiors, home staging, and curated experiences, we create environments that invite people to slow down, gather often, celebrate the everyday, and live more intentionally. Every project begins by listening to the people, the place, and the story waiting to be told.

We are drawn to craftsmanship over excess, objects with history, and spaces that feel collected rather than decorated. Our goal is never perfection. It is to create homes that feel deeply personal, quietly beautiful, and genuinely lived in.

FRANCESCA Morgan

Founder

Interior designer, curator, and community builder whose Italian roots and Mediterranean sensibility have shaped a lifelong appreciation for hospitality, craftsmanship, and the rituals of everyday living. Through years of designing homes, curating retail spaces, and building relationships with artisans and makers, Francesca has developed an intuitive approach to creating environments that feel welcoming, timeless, and deeply personal.

Her philosophy is simple: don't wait to celebrate. The most meaningful moments in life rarely announce themselves—they happen over shared meals, conversations, unexpected visits, and quiet mornings. She believes our homes should make room for all of them.

jessie dib

Designer, maker, and creative director whose Venezuelan and Lebanese heritage instilled a deep respect for craftsmanship, generosity, and the emotional power of home. Working across jewelry, furniture, objects, and interiors, Jessie approaches every project with curiosity, believing that every material carries its own character and every object has the potential to become part of someone's story.

For Jessie, making is an act of care. Thoughtful design is not about filling a room, it is about creating objects and spaces that quietly shape the way people live, gather, and remember.

We founded Hillsborough Design House to create more than a design studio. We are building a creative home where interiors, objects, experiences, and community exist under one philosophy: that beautiful spaces can inspire fuller lives.

The way we design is the way we strive to live: with curiosity, generosity, and gratitude. We believe in gathering around the table, lingering over good coffee, celebrating both small victories and life's greatest milestones, supporting artists and makers, and making room for beauty in the everyday.

Because the spaces we create are never the destination.

They are the setting for the lives we hope to live.
